Bio

Dr. Batlle is a cardiothoracic and musculoskeletal radiologist serving the largest community health system in south Florida, Baptist Health (BHSF), spanning Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, and a member of Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, which systemwide oversees approximately 5000 annual coronary CTA acquisitions. As a musculoskeletal radiologist, he serves the professional teams of South Florida including the Heat, Dolphins, Panthers, and Miami FC. Dr Batlle acts as radiology lead for the Miami Cancer Institute’s thoracic tumor team, the interstitial lung disease team, and the CT lung screening program. He is also an associate professor at the FIU College of Medicine in both the Radiology and Bioethics departments.  He has extensive history with the American College of Radiology, including Course Directorship for the ACR Education Center's Cardiac MRI Minifellowship, ACR Accreditor in CT imaging, the ACR Informatics Commission, and invited speaker on artificial intelligence. In cardiac imaging he has served in leadership roles and several committees for the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, as co-founder of the Southeast Florida Cardiac Imaging society, and as member of the expert panel on cardiac imaging for the ACR Appropriateness Criteria Committee. For hobbies, Dr. Batlle enjoys Ultimate frisbee, crossword puzzles, and travel.
